Popular Treatment Methods Used Against Cellulite

Almost 90% of women in the US are troubled by some degree of cellulite. These fatty deposits underneath the skin can really make even the sexiest or most slender woman in the universe want to hide her body because of ugly orange-peel looking skin. Tabloids are getting a lot of money by catching pictures of celebrities and Hollywood A-listers with cellulite-filled thighs, hips and arms.

In order to remedy this skin problem, cosmetics and beauty companies are finding ways and discovering new procedures to finally eliminate cellulite from the face of the earth. Nowadays, women have so many procedures to choose from when in comes to getting rid of cellulite.

Here are some of the popular anti-cellulite treatments available:

Body Wraps

The main goal of a body wrap is to stimulate sweating. This type of procedure has a short-term diuretic property because it makes you expel water from the body. More often than not, spas and other beauty salons use seaweeds and other herbs as body wraps to boost circulation and make your skin firmer. Although body wraps can help improve circulation and prevent further development of cellulite, this procedure can do little in eliminating existing skin dimple problems. Fat deposits underneath your skin cannot be melted or affected by sweating. Furthermore, if you are pregnant or have a high blood pressure, you better stay away from body wraps.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
What kind of treatment do you recommend for cellulite caused by hormones?
I do a lot of exercise (i run, play tennis, abs, etc, etc), drink a lot of water and avoid salt and greasy meals. I started to use birth control pills, and since then cellulite start appearing, can you suggest me an EFFECTIVE treatment please?

    • ANSWER:
your doing the right stuff and your o the right track if you are eating properly. the only thing I did differently was to work out in the gym and use some cellulite cream. some creams do make a difference. I also found that running by itself was not enough.

  2. QUESTION:
what causes cellulite?and can you get rid of it?
i have a bit of cellulite on the backs of my legs and the faintest bit on my bum so i assume i could get rid of it?but how?and what causes it?is there any treatment that i could have or some good creams that “actually work” ? for eg massaging the area etc?

    • ANSWER:
First of all let me start out by saying that there is not “magic pill”, or quick and easy solution for getting rid of cellulite!(sorry)
There are a number of reasons we all have cellulite, some can be influenced and remedied, but others cannot – like genetics and heredity for instance.
the good news is that plenty of other factors causing cellulite CAN be addressed (I know, I did IT!), and these are namely not drinking enouh water,
poor diet (alcohol, processed foods, lots of caffeine and other toxins), smoking, diet pills, sleeping pills, diuretics, crash diets, and the most importantly –
sedentary lifestyle! so getting rid of all these bad habits, and getting started with a solid aerobic excercise regimen will put you on your way to cellulite-free future :)
Also I’ve found that combination of resveratrol(overall very healthy and energizing product) and Body Solutions Cellulite System also helped me get rid of cellulite,
so i wholeheartedly recommend it. (Some people told me it’s a placebo, could be, but I dont agree!)
This is the product I used:

But remember, this is NO magic bullet, and wont do much without a disciplined daily excercise regimen, and without adopting healthy habits which are the foundation of weight-loss and cellulite removal (no matter what others tell you)

Good luck, it’s hard work, but it’s worth it!!!

  3. QUESTION:
What Causes Cellulite, And How Can I Avoid It, without treatments?
Im 21 Yrs Old…….My height Is 5’3 I Weight Around 110-115 pounds nOrmal weight, But I still Have cellulite On my stomach and a little on the thighs..im Not over Weight or obese So Why i have Cellulite???

    • ANSWER:
Cellulite is the name we give to a look of the skin. The problem which causes it actually doesn’t involve the skin. It’s caused when the body stores fat too close to the bottom skin layer. Skin cells are brick shaped, and form a sort of wall. Fat cells are irregularly shaped. So think elephant leaning against one side of a brick wall. If that happened, the bricks would be displaced oddly in spots, some further out than others, and generally giving the wall a rather dimpled lumpy look. The problem is not with the wall, but the elephant leaning on it. The fat cells press up against the skin and the connective tissue which hold it all together, but unevenly because they are unevenly shaped. The directions for where your body stores fat are genetic, and for the most part there is nothing you can do about it except curse your ancestors. If you are overweight, losing weight will help some- since there’s less fat to press against the skin. Exercising will tone underlying muscle some, and help smooth the look as well. However, nothing is going to remove it all. Liposuction isn’t even an option, because the process damages connective tissue and leaves more dimples. Plus, insult to injury- your body just replaces the fat again. After all, those are the directions. All the potions, lotions and magic formulas in the world don’t work, because the problem is not with the skin and none of that stuff will get to the fat cells. Anything that claims to break up or dissolve fat is lying as well. After all, anything that could dissolve fat would do a number on the skin covering it. You have cellulite because real people bodies have cellulite, and you inherited the tendency. You avoid it getting bad by controlling your weight to an extent, and by learning to love the body you are in. Anorexics get cellulite, movie stars get it, men get it, even one of the plastic surgeons I worked with had it. She had it so bad she wouldn’t be seen in shorts much above her knees. So, you can see you are not alone and I hope realize that it’s just something you learn to accept. Then you move on in life. And I assure you, Mister Right will not notice or care. He’ll think you are perfect just the way you are- cellulite and all. Because what really counts is inside the container- not the outside.

  5. QUESTION:
    Do spider veins cause cellulite?
What kind of symptoms are associated with spider veins, what causes them to become more obvious, and what is the best removal treatment?? … but most importantly — can cellulite grow faster for people spider veins ??? Is it a circulation thing?

    • ANSWER:
Spider veins are tiny blood vessels near the skin’s surface, usually only a few millimeters long, that serve NO purpose. Because they have no purpose, there are no problems with spider vein removal.

This means two things for you:
      1) You shouldn’t worry about them allowing cellulite to grow faster; this is simply not the case as one has nothing to do with the other.

      2) If you are plagued by spider veins and are hoping to rid yourself of them, you’re in luck. There are several non-surgical procedures that will eliminate them in an affordable and effective manner.

Spider vein removal typically costs around 0, depending on what treatment you choose. Laser spider vein treatments are recommended, but you can talk to your doctor about which specific laser treatment is right for you. You can find doctors near you and set up free consults at healthyskinportal.com.

      Good Luck!
